Hello, my name is Dwain and I am the founder and creator of D'S Streets hip-hop streets dance classes which is sponsored by Cliffs Florists who is the Southmead Christmas Carol Bus based in Southmead, Bristol. I have been doing and studying hip-hop streeet and break-dance plus other styles such as body popping, L.A locking, contemporary, jazz and many more for over 7 years and although it has been great fun it has been hard work sometimes stressful. I have fairly enjoyed all that I have learned and experienced over the years with a great passion. I have been teaching for the past 2 years now and my passion is getting greater and greater.

D'S streets first classes started in the Yate area of Bristol in October 2008. Shortly after I came into talks with Cliff from Cliffs Florists where we both discussed and agreed as we are both from Southmead it would be good to bring D'S streets to the Southmead area and community.

I have done many events competitions at Reading, Blackpool, Wales, London, Keynsham, carnivals at St Pauls Bristol, Notting Hill London and Bristol's music and balloon festivals plus I have also done some backing dancing for a Bristol's rap artist by the name of Treigga-don which is on some of the music channels, the famous Neo, Genuine act.

My plan for D'S streets is not only to teach dance but encourage confidence, discipline, team building and to believe in their place in life whether they feel they are achieving or not, (NEED TO BE IN IT TO WIN IT) and to be happy within ones personal progress, working hard in a fun and positive environment.

D'S streets prides itself on being a good and recognised competitive performance group, every dancer will have to prove their dedication to gain proficiency at a certain standard to achieve and experience all the above that I have stated etc (IN WHICH I HOPE FOR ALL MEMBERS OF D'S streets).

There are three D'S streets classes, every Friday at the Southmead Community Centre where the level of dance is to suit all age groups.
Ages 5-10 is at 5-6pm
Ages 11-16 is at 6-7pm
Ages 16-above is at 7-8

Cliff and I were discussing we wanted people who not only had an idea of break-dancing but also basic beginners who with help can come on to be as good as or better than those who have been dancing for years

The price if you are not working is £3.50 The price if you are working is £4.50
